A little bit of info about my blog name...
As I've mentioned in my welcome post, this is not my first blog. I always like to have a url/blog title with some kind of relevance.
Cooee is a shout used in Australia to indicate where you are in the bush. It literally means "come here" in the Dharug language of the Darug and Eora people's, who are from the Sydney region in Australia (there are many tribes/nations and languages of Aboriginal all over Australia).
Considering half of family are of indigenous descent (although we are not from the Eora peoples) and I've lived in Sydney for a majority of my life, I wanted to include a bit of both and have meaning (if that makes sense? hope it does lol).

Annnd a little bit about myself...
So as you should've figured by now I am an Australian from Sydney.
I have an amazing supportive partner who I would absolutely struggle to live without. I don't think I would be half the person I am today without him. He is my best friend and other half. We are due to be first time parents in early 2015.
I love to read (when I have the time!), blog, knit (even though I'm no expert), learn about the history of Sydney and go on wild walks with my amazing partner. I'm quite a pinner on Pinterest.
I've always wanted to have my own garden and now that I have the space just don't know where to start or what to plant.. If you have any knowledge or experience in that department then drop me a line :)

What do I like to read?
I can't say that I like to read one type of genre...I don't like to 'restrict' myself. Back at high school I would've said Fantasy was my favourite but since I've left school I've found that I'll read Fantasy, True Crime, Classics, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biographies, Australian History and pretty much whatever I can sink my teeth into or shall I say whatever can drown me in its pages.
